Visiting hours:
The National Museum of Art of Romania, the Theodor Pallady Museum and the K. H. Zambaccian Museum can be visited: Wednesday-Friday 10am-6pm

Saturday-Sunday 11am-7pm, Monday and Tuesday closed. Free entry on the first Wednesday of the month.
The Art Collections Museum: Monday, Tuesday and Friday, 10am-6pm, Saturday and Sunday 11am-7pm, closed Wednesday and Thursday. Free entry on the first Tuesday of the month.
Last entrance: 1 hour before closing for The National Museum of Art of Romania and the Art Collections Museum and 30 minutes for the Theodor Pallady Museum, the K. H. Zambaccian Museum and the temporary exhibitions.
For guided tours, please make a reservation at secretariat@art.museum.ro at least 7 days in advance. 
On December 11,12 and 15, 2025, the Throne Hall and the Voivodes’ Staircase will be closed to the public. Thank you for your understanding!
Starting December 4th, until Sunday, December 14th, the Theodor Pallady Museum will be closed to the public. Thank you for your understanding!

Tuesday, 28th of June 2022, at 6:00 PM, in the Royal Dining Room of the National Museum of Art of Romania, takes place a new edition of " Meeting at Museum", a project that aims to engage contact with personalities from various fields of culture on various topics interfering with artistic genres.
This time our guest will be the director of Peleș National Museum, Mr. Narcis Dorin Ion, the author of an excellent monography about King Carol II of Romania.
The dialogue will aim to highlight the contribution of King Carol II to the construction of the effervescent cultural climate of the interwar period, but also his position as a beneficiary and victim of the political climate in Romania, during the 1930s.

Narcis Dorin Ion was director of the Department of Museums, Collections, Visual Arts from the Ministry of Culture and Cults and the general director of the Bran National Museum, since April 2016 he has been the director of the Peleș National Museum in Sinaia.
Since 2014 he has been the vice-president of the Romanian National Committee of Museums - ICOM. He is also a member of the National Commission of Museums and Collections within the Ministry of Culture.
He graduated, as head of promotion, the Faculty of History of the University of Bucharest (1997) he obtained a master degree at the same faculty (1998). He has a doctorate in history since 2006, with the topic: ”Elites and Residential Architecture in the Romanian Historical Regions ” a work awarded with the “George Oprescu” Prize of the Romanian Academy (2013).
For his historical works he was awarded with I.C. Filitti ”,“ Nicolae Iorga ”and“ Dinu C. Giurescu ”of Magazin Istoric Cultural Foundation (2018, 2019, 2021) and with“ Constantin Brâncoveanu ”Award of Alexandrion Foundation (2018).
