Royal Palace
The Throne Hall, the Royal Dining Room, and the Voievods’ Stairs testify to the palace’s royal past.
Historical spaces of the Royal Palace
The Throne Hall, the Royal Dining Room, and the Voïvods’ Stairs were reopened in 2013, following a lengthy restoration process which brought them back to their 1935 original glory.
A devastating fire in December 1926 had made it necessary for the palace to undergo massive reconstruction works. Old photographs, architectural plans, prints and drawings, furniture pieces and royal portraits offer visitors a glimpse into the palace’s royal past and the history of the Romanian monarchy.
