In support of the campaign for the acquisition of Brancusi’s “Wisdom of the Earth”, the National Museum of Art of Romania invited contemporary artist Dan Perjovschi to visualize his simple math calculation: it takes 3 million people to donate 2 Euros each, to acquire the masterpiece. Perjovschi’s compelling drawing invites visitors to join the on-going fundraising campaign launched by the Romanian Ministry of Culture. Until 30 September 2016, contributions can be made by sending an SMS with the text Brancusi to 8833 (number valid in all Romanian mobile networks), donating on line at www.brancusiealmeu.ro or through deposits or bank transfers at any of the following banks: Alpha Bank Romania S.A.- Sucursala Unirii, Banca Transilvania, BCR, BRD – SMC, CEC Bank S.A. – Sucursala Timpuri Noi, ING Bank, Raiffeisen Bank, UniCredit Bank, Trezoreria Statului. Brancusi’s “Wisdom of the Earth” was on permanent display in the museum’s National Gallery until 2010.
