Jacob Wrestling with the Angel, an 17th-century painting by an anonymous Flemish artist, which once belonged to the Romanian Royal Family, will be temporarily displayed in the Rubens and Rembrandt room of the European Art Gallery between 2 November 2016 and 31 January 2017.
Curator Mălina Conțu will speak about the significance of the iconography and its connections with other similar representations in a lecture taking place Saturday 26 November at 18.00 hrs. and Wednesday 7 December at 16.00 hrs. (in Romanian).
