 highly appreciated one-man show at the Hungarian National Gallery of Art i
 n 2017.\nWell-known for his documentary photographs which capture the dail
 y life of East- European peasants\, Korniss turned toward a more conceptua
 l approach in recent years\, while continuing to travel the world\, from N
 orth and South America to South Yemen and Siberia.\nThe exhibition Continu
 ous Memory comprises a selection of photographs from the 1960s and 1970s w
 hich focus on villages in Romania\, Hungary\, and Slovakia and reveal the 
 deep human connection Korniss established with his subjects.\nMore of his 
 photographs are on view until 10 April 2018 at the Balassi Institute – The
